In a large skillet, brown the sliced turkey sausage.
7 oz skinless turkey smoked sausage
Add in the sliced onion, bell pepper, and jalapeno. Saute until vegetables are slightly softened to desired consistency. Add in salt and pepper to taste.
½ medium onion, 1 medium red bell pepper, 4 medium jalapeno peppers, 1 pinch salt, 1 pinch pepper
Add in chicken broth and bowtie pasta (or pasta of choice). Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent from burning to bottom of pan.
4 cups chicken broth, 8 oz farfalle
Once pasta has softened and absorbed much of the chicken broth, add in the cream cheese and shredded cheese. Stir and serve. Makes 6 servings.
8 oz fat-free cream cheese, ¾ cup reduced-fat shredded cheese
